image GameArts, eager to prepare the world for Grandia Online made, the original Grandia a downloadable PsOne game. If you have a Japanese PlayStation Network account fire it up and fight the Garlyle Forces on your PSP.

Grandia isn’t the only RPG this week. Lunatic Dawn Odyssey, Langrisser I & II, and Tilk which looks like an RPG with mermaids or aquatic people are your other choices. Those three games won’t come out anywhere else either since they were only released in Japan.

Here is a quick list of games. Each one goes for 600 yen ($6).

Oh my, oh my, awesome. Well, I already have it tho.

By the way, apparently this game crashes a lot on a PS2 for whatever reason, and I can personally confirm that. Is it the same on a PS3, or does it run properly now?
  • Yeah, I had Grandia crash on my PS2 the other night. I'm debating pulling out the PS1 again to play it, but I may test it again and see if it crashes at the same spot or if I can move forward.

SCEA is complete and utter fail when it comes to PSOne classics. Japan has a ton of games, and the US PSN has what, about 30? I don't understand why SCEA cannot release more PSOne games.

Agreed. The PSP seriously needs a boost. Opening up the floodgates to PS1 games seems like a great idea to me.

Grandia was pretty enjoyable even with its horrifying tedious dungeon, so nice!

Improper punctuation can come back to haunt you.
That's what they call bad comma.
