Some Of Taito’s Xbox Live Arcade Games Get Dated

By Spencer . April 23, 2009 . 6:14pm

Taito has a stable of franchise revivals heading to Xbox Live Arcade. Remixed nostalgia starts in April when Space Invaders Extreme comes out. One month later Arkanoid Live with its 120 levels and online multiplayer comes out. Judging from an English screenshot at Famitsu this timeframe won’t just be for Japan.

Bubble Bobble Neo, a complete remake of Bubble Bobble with online play and some kind of downloadable content, has an ambiguous 2009 release date. All of Taito’s games are reasonably priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10).

Out of the three games I’m most excited for Bubble Bobble Neo. I hope it has a super special ending for beating the game online with four bubble shooting dinosaurs.

hey spencer, do you know something about this

    • Thanks for the heads up!

Totally fake. The scan is supposedly Famitsu, but it’s not in the table of contents. Other sites are now saying it’s Dengeki Playstation which is impossible since the info box is clearly Famitsu style. I wonder if this deserves a rumor smash post.

Yeah, it is getting silly to have these exclusives just to renig on it 6 months down the road. Honestly though, it is pretty obvious these games will go multi platform. RPGS of this size and scope just have too large a budget to not go to the PS3, especially given the 360s pitiful sales in Japan. BTW, love the icon. Big KR fan here.

Couldn’t care less about Arkanoid or Space Invaders. Bubble Bobble though, I am there.
