Another Code R: Journey To Europe

By Spencer . April 24, 2009 . 8:29am

Nintendo of Europe is localizing Another Code R, fully localizing Another Code R: A Journey into Lost Memories. When Trace Memory came out in Europe Ashley was British instead of American. Another Code R follows the European script and gives Ashley a British accent in this trailer.

Not a huge difference, but if Ashley suddenly spoke with an American accent the incongruity would give some substance to a North American release. If Nintendo of America decides to pick up Another Code R they may have to change the voice acting to fit the American localization of Trace Memory. Importers eager to see Ashley’s story unfold can pick up the PAL version (so far the only English version) on June 26.

Seriously, if NoA doesn't bring this over, I give up…

  • Chris

    I already gave up.

Trailer is on the (Euro) Nintendo Channel as well, BTW.

What the hell is NoA doing these days? Did they just give up on the core crowd? Last thing worth mentioning was like Kirby on DS.

This must come out in North America.

“When Trace Memory came out in Europe Ashley was British instead of American.”

It's the other way around. When Trace Memory came out in the US Ashles was American instead of British. ;) Not only was Another Code released in Europe before it came out in the US, but also in the Japanese version Ashley was British.

Well, glad to see this one brought over. But I might be preordering (or simply buying) this depending of the release of Fatal Frame in Europe too…
