BlazBlue Bonuses: Training DVDs, Mana Potions

Aksys really, really wants you to pre-order BlazBlue.Reserve it at Gamestop or Amazon before it comes out on June 30th and you get the limited edition version for free. Bonus items include a two disc sound track with 48 songs (19 more than Japan gets) and a video disc expert tips from the fighting gurus at Shoryuken. PS3 owners get their tutorials on Blu-ray while the Xbox 360 bundle has a plain old DVD.

If you reserve BlazBlue at Gamecrazy you get the limited edition and a collector’s edition Mana potion energy drink. Nice to see all of these goodies, but if you were thinking of purchasing BlazBlue you would have to reserve it anyway. Aksys games tend to be in short supply.

Seeing things like this makes me wish I was any good at fighters. The only series I've had any luck with at all is Soul Calibur, because I can button-mash and still do kind of OK. I can never remember the combos…

  • CleruTesh

I don't play fighters much these days, but my love for both sprites and swag makes this tempting.

  • Volcynika

Amazon better update their product page soon! I already had it preordered. :D

  • EdgeKun

I was going to preorder this one anyway, but the fact that they added so many goodies for no additional cost just turned it into an impulse preorder. I sure as hell won't complain though, i'm such a sucker for art books, OSTs, and the like. =D

  • Chow

That's awesome. Gotta add this to my mental list of games to reserve. Too bad my memory is shot by playing too many games and doing nothing else to expand my mind.

  • QBasic

Well. This was the easiest “I'm sold” I've ever happened upon…

  • matty

    Taokaka!
Speaking of which, I saw a plushie of that character on their site. I guess they're going to sell it separately?

  • pressstart

Man, if only I had a 360 or a PS3, I would so preorder it. The bonus DVD and artbook really takes the cake!

I went out and pre-ordered this when I learned of this package. I don't really care about the potion, but I do hope I get the artbook. Artbooks are awesome. If only I owned a bookshelf – yes, all my books and games are stacked in rubbermaid boxes under my bed or in “hidden” compartments on the TV stand… thing… whatever.

*sigh* I should stop buying games and start buying furniture. Pizzabox coffee tables are not sexy, despite popular opinion.

  • deep13

Gamecrazy only, huh? Lame. They all closed down in my area. How strange they get a special.

  • QBasic

No…You can also get the limited edition at Gamestop. There, you get an artbook instead of an energy potion.
