Marvelous with the help of Xseed are quickly localizing Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga. The Wii action RPG comes out in Japan and North America this summer. The Valhalla Knights series isn’t massive in North America (or in Japan for that matter), but domestically this game has an edge over Monster Hunter Tri.

Monster Hunter Tri isn’t slated for a summer release here, which makes Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga the Wii game to get for online dungeon crawling. Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga supports two player online co-op over Nintendo Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, no offline co-op though. Bummer.

Hmm… how will distant players communicate with each other? Wii Speak? USB Keyboard? Pointing at an on screen keyboard? Note to self, ask Xseed about this.

If you haven’t heard of Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga before check out this batch of screenshots.

Yeah, this is going to be every bit as terrible as the PSP titles :( (Which would, I think, nullify any perceived advantage over MHT.)
