Fullmetal Alchemist Dawns On Wii This August

image A quick update about Fullmetal Alchemist: Prince of Dawn, it’s coming out on August 13 in Japan. Square Enix sent out a press release announcing the release date and not much else.

Since the game is classified as an “adventure” game there may not be much more to the gameplay. However, an early screenshot shows players using the Wii remote as a screwdriver to tune auto mail.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Prince of Dawn also does a fine job of rendering the characters in 3D. Click on over to the official site, click on “character”, then one of the floating heads, and finally one of the animations. While this may not be the kind of Fullmetal Alchemist game you were hoping for, Fullmetal Alchemist: Prince of Dawn has the living anime feel going for it.

What kind of Fullmetal Alchemist game was I hoping for, great hivemind?

    • One on-rails, surely.

    • An alchemy cooking game, obviously. :P

  • I just hope that it will be better than the previous PS2 Fullmetal Alchemist games.

sniff, character modeling looks wierd, I wish it was 2D (why couldn’t they have made 3D like that suzumiya cell shaded wii game that looks nice?)

I think the 3D models and animation look excellent. I like the remake of the show a lot, but the change of many voice actors take some getting used to, some for the better like Scar, some for the worse like Lisa Hawkeye (Orikasa Fumiko/Rukia is good, but I preferred Neya Michiko’s mature voice). If this game also has music composed by Senju Akira (B’t X, Snow Queen) like the show, it would be pretty awesome.
