This Is How You Play Growlanser

Growlanser, the much less mentioned Atlus PSP port, comes out in Japan on Thursday. This video gives us a look at the battle system, which isn’t too far detached from Growlanser: Heritage of War. If you haven’t played a Growlanser game before encounters take place in real time without battle transitions.

Another surprise is the Japanese version of Growlanser has some English menus. The game isn’t fully translated into English, but at least Grownlanser’s interface will be familiar to brave importers who aren’t familiar with the language.

  • Dono mahou? Dare ni? Ok! Dono mahou? Dare ni? Ok!

    That’s a bit irritating…

    • Yup.

Though they don’t sound as stupid as Blue Dragon’s “item”, “dead”, “nothing”, etc, they really should have the option to turn off the redundant battle voices. The Urushihara illustrations are indeed amazing.

As usual, I must comment on how much I love Satoshi Urushihara’s artwork.

I really hope this comes out in North America. It’s my most wanted PSP game at the moment.
