See More Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny Media

By Spencer . May 15, 2009 . 11:49am

Namco Bandai announced Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny in Japan with sent out screenshots and character models. We’ll start with a rough comparison of Ivy’s model on the PSP and PS3/Xbox 360. On the PSP the bright colors are a little washed out. Otherwise the conversion is impressive.

This batch of screenshots also shows what Dampierre looks like in the game. The newly created character has switchblades on his sleeves and has a hammer throw move. Maybe. It’s hard to tell if Voldo caught Dampierre in a throw or vice versa.

I really want to be excited for this but the pain of SCIV still stings a bit…

Man Namco Bandai’s character designs in the last 5 or so years have been downright horrible. It seems as though Namco doesn’t know how to make interesting or cool characters anymore. Between Tekken and Soul Calibur, I can’t figure out which series has worse characters.

Those graphics are pretty impressive. Dampierre looks weird, but so does everyone else, I guess. :P

  • They need make this wii and put Link,Marth,Ike,Pit,Roy,Metaknight, and someone from golden sun in it. Just fix the graphics up to wii standards.

because he wants soul calibur gameplay?

anyway I think they should really make sopul calibur wii instead of taking a piss and doing shitty spin-off’s. but… putting a extensive nintendo cast on it ain’t it.

Couldnt agree with you more jess…lol!

        • Jess

It wouldnt be SC gamrplay if you throw all those random characters in… I agree though… They couldnt manage a fighter on Wii so thy made Legends yet the PSP can handle it?
