Blood of Bahamut Boils In August

imageFinally, an update about Blood of Bahamut that isn’t just another batch of screenshots! Square Enix’s multiplayer RPG will be finished on August 6. The game was officially announced back in November 2008. That wasn’t too long was it?

Blood of Bahamut is a story of man versus a giant, living land mass beast. Players chip away at their colossal adversary’s armor, dash towards mounted cannons, and team up with friends with local Wi-Fi to subdue familiar Final Fantasy summons like Ifrit and Shiva.

International plans for Blood of Bahamut have not been outlined, but we caught a trademark registered in North America months before the game was announced in Japan. Perhaps, we’ll see Blood of Bahamut in a few weeks at E3.

Can’t come soon enough, the wife wants more coop monster bashing.

I was down with this game until I saw the in-game screenshots of Shiva. That just really creeped me out.

I was interested in this game until I discovered it’s from the Revenant Wings team.

    I really didn’t like their previous game…

I don’t care for Revenant Wings either, but this is not a RTS though.. I dunno, the gameplay does seem interesting and I like the background music a lot. Ibuki sounds surprisingly manly for a JRPG hero. I hope the single player mode is fun too even w/o co-op.

    Color me uninterested…

It’s not at the top of my priority list, but it still looks good enough to warrant a look into. I’m guessing were getting it (if we do) sometime mid 2010.
