This Week In Imports: Welcome Back To Twilight Town

This Week In Imports: Welcome Back To Twilight TownKingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days finally comes out in Japan. The Monster Hunter style multiplayer action RPG focuses on Roxas and his life as a member of Organization XIII.

Surely, Kingdom Hearts is going to be one of the bigger, if not the biggest release on the Nintendo DS this week, but it won’t come out until Saturday. A Witch’s Tale, Ace Attorney Investigations, Hero for 30sec, and a cosplay strategy RPG come out before it.

North America’s release list is looking solid too with inFamous, Cross Edge, Crimson Gem Saga, and the quirky Katamari meets Pac-Man Wii game The Munchables. Since there are so many games coming out this week I posted four $5 off $50 Play-Asia coupon codes. If someone needs a $10 off $50 send a shout on Twitter. I’ll randomly give the code out to someone tomorrow.

I can't wait for that game to be released in english, I love the KH series.

I'm assuming we'll never see the cosplay SRPG out of Japan, huh? It's just a slightly more sexualized version of Final Fantasy's job system… I mean, cosplay? Dressing up as a black mage or a monk is cosplay too, right?

…I could pull the FFX-2 fanservice “cosplay” card, but… ah, my point is, the game barely seems any different from other job-class-changing SRPGs. Maybe I'm just desensitized and jaded.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Ougon no Kizuna (Bonds of Gold) look good.

The transformation sequence in FF X-2 and Sailor Moon seem tame compared to this though, lol. All the costumes remind me of the in-joke in Star Ocean 4, they were poking fun at earthling's cosplay too.

I'm interested in Claymore the most, can't believe they did a 3D intro for the DS game, kind of make you wish this is a game for the PSP..

The sprites look pretty good, especially the gigantic youma. I'm still having doubt on the battle system, the gauges on the touch screen kind of resemble the format Yu Yu Hakusho on the Super Famicom.

Tactics Layer? Yeah I don't think that's coming over. It's just a cosplay version of the job system. However, Tactical Guild, which features a similar cosplay job system might come over…

Haha, fair enough, Aoshi00 & Spencer. I'll have to keep an eye on Tactical Guild, in that case =)
