Arkanoid Plus Bounces To WiiWare

Wii owners won’t miss out on brick busting. Arkanoid Plus is scheduled for WiiWare in Japan this week.

This version of Taito’s Breakout game has 61 stages in arcade mode and two final bosses. Players can test their speed in time attack mode and challenge a friend or computer in Vs. Mode.

The amount of content in Arkanoid Plus is about the same as Arkanoid Live, which came out on the Xbox 360 a few weeks ago. It’s unclear if this is a port of Xbox Live Arcade game or not. Both games share another common feature, downloadable content. Extra stages for Arkanoid Plus can be purchased for an additional fee. Arkanoid Plus costs 800 Wii Points ($8).
