Hopefully the issue where the game would lock up if you ran too fast through the zones would be fixed. Metroid 3 had a simple solution for this - the doors to another zone would just stay closed while the game was loading whats behind it.

Aspect ratio has got nothing to do with SD and HD. It's probably much more important.

Anyway, it's just the HUD, so it's not like something like that would make or break a deal for me, but it still sucks. After all, Nintendo is known for putting a lot of care in their games. Something like this reeks of half-hearted, coming from them.

There is always the chance that it gets fixed before release.

Not a huge loss, so long as it's confined to the multiplayer mode. Prime 2's multiplayer mode always felt a little tacked-on to me, since not only did it fly in the face of their claim the series was a "first-person adventure," but it also highlighted the weaknesses of the game's control scheme in twitch-based shoot out.

Fortunately, the latter concern will be fixed (to a degree) by the new control set up. I still don't see it replacing anyone's console FPS of choice, but it will make it more then a five minute distraction.

You need to shut up if you can't be respectful. He is entitled to his opinion. If you don't like it then don't post.

Besides this isn't an SD and HD thing anyways, it is an aspect ratio situation, it has nothing to do with resolution.

Geez this attitude of some people where nobody can point out a negative about a product without getting lambasted for voicing their opinion has got to go people. These posts are getting far too frequent on here as of late.

Too bad about the controls, though. But that's probably the whole point for this collection. -_-

So awesome that we are getting the trilogy instead of separate releases. The unified launcher will let you change settings for all 3 games at once, and the newly added medal system (to 1 and 2) can probably unlock art and music.

Personally I'm really looking forward to revisit part 1, but I have always postponed it because I don't have a CRT anymore and I feared that would degrade the experience. No trouble there with the new widescreen 480p version and IR pointer awesomeness. :)

Stretched HUD in widescreen? Surely they can do better than that. I hope they'll get it fixed before release.
