Flower, Sun, and Rain (Finally) Shines In June

By Spencer . May 27, 2009 . 2:43pm

Flower, Sun, and Rain (Finally) Shines In June Suda51′s Groundhog Day meets mystery adventure game, Flower, Sun, and Rain will land in North America on June 16. The game stars Sumio Mondo who is stuck in a time loop as he tries to diffuse a bomb and assist the residents of Lospass Island.

In the game you are assisted by Catherine, a briefcase computer that cracks codes. The Nintendo DS version of Flower, Sun, and Rain adapted the game’s puzzles to utilize the touch screen, but don’t be mistake this for a mini-game collection. Flower, Sun, and Rain is more like a classic adventure game with a heavy and bizarre story.

An English version of Flower, Sun, and Rain is currently available in Europe. Xseed said the North American version will have a different translation than the Rising Star’s release. At the very least I expect Xseed to change the spelling of words like “fervour” to “fervor” and so forth.

    “fervour” to “fervor”

Complete lack of respect for their Canadian customers. I am shocked and appalled, sir!

Feels like I have been playing this somewhen last year. The games industry moves in the right direction when older titles still have a chance to get localized, especially niche titles.
