Wow, could this look any less generic? At least Drakengard tried to do something interesting but this looks lackluster and bland. But then again, it's only an initial impression so hopefully the game will shape up when more media is released.

I liked Drakengard by Cavia, they were the ones going to work on Cry On until it was scrapped right? I dunno, looks kind of uninspired like Rygar..

Ivalice will probably be the setting of another Final Fantasy (spinoff) so I doubt that but, I have no idea what those familiar lands could be otherwise either.

This game is not being developed by Square-Enix (hence, they lack of the square-enix touch, style and polish). It's being outsourced and developed by some company named, Cavia, Inc.

Btw, Who an the hell is Cavia, Inc? An what games have they created?

Yeah, I agree with some of the comments here... It looks like Square is trying their hand at the Western market's God of War-esque, high-action genre. Which are unfortunately a dime a dozen recently.

The setting looks like it could be interesting. I'll look forward to Square Enix's visual design, at least. :I

If there wasn't a logo at the end of the video I wouldn't believe it was square.
It looks acceptable, but somewhat generic at this point. Hopefully it's got some crazy mechanics behind it. I like that the protagonist is older, though.
