Gunbird Sort Of Coming To PlayStation Network

imageA long time ago budget publisher XS Games picked up the rights to a vertical shooter from Psikyo. They “localized” the game into Mobile Light Force.

Don’t let the cover fool you. Mobile Light Force really is a butchered version of Gunbird. Imagine the surprise of someone who bought this on a whim expecting a robot shooting game with clones of Charlie’s Angels to find out the game starts with a cartoon rabbit holding a clock.

The ESRB re-rated Mobile Light Force among a bunch of other titles as PS3/PSP games with SCEA as the publisher so these are pretty much locked in as a PlayStation Network download.

Here’s the list of upcoming downloadable PsOne games.

Contra: Legacy of War
Dead in the Water
Ford Racing
Mobile Light Force
Spec Ops: Airborne Commando
XS Junior League Soccer

And if you haven’t seen Mobile Light Force before watch this.

Haha Mobile Light Force seems to be the only decent title on that list.

Wow, the return of Mobile Light Force? Now that was unexpected. It sure would be nice if we could get a non-butchered version of Gunbird on PSN though.

Real Gunbird would be awesome, but Mobile Light Force is so butchered it’s funny.

Isn’t Ford Racing already on the PSN?
