In addition to Mobile Light Force, Final Fantasy VII was also rated by the ESRB as a PlayStation 3 and PSP game. (Thanks for the tip Jon!!) That makes it a candidate as a downloadable PlayStation Classic on the PlayStation Store.

In April Square Enix re-released Final Fantasy VII International as a downloadable game in Japan for 1,500 yen ($15). How much would you pay for a disc-free version of Final Fantasy VII?

    MEGATON!

    … lol

  • Nabe

If it means more Square PSX games to come, i’m all for it.

    Xenogears!!

  • QBasic

I bet they’ll charge a juicy $20 for it. Cause they’re SE, and they can be douchebags like that…

I guess I wouldn’t pay much. No reason to buy it again. Unless it’s regular price, but that’s going to be difficult.

However, if they gave us Chrono Cross… now that would be something to look forward to.

    • Mr. Mee

I’m with you on the Chrono Cross bandwagon

  • clyde

id pay $15-$20… granetd that would suck but w/e. its $50+ on ebay (for new and unopened non-best game w/e thing) … soo i guess its not bad. and it would be portable.

i would really liek a remake on the psp… like 3 and 4 on the DS. or better yet .. the ps3. that would please me.

I would buy it for 10-20 (plus a PSP), I’ve been entertaining the notion of getting a PSP and FFVI would seal the deal. I’ve been wanting it since I played it at a friend’s house a decade ago. (It’s not my favourite FF, but I still really enjoyed it :D)

    • Joanna

I meant FFVII ^^;;;;; (incidentally VI is my favourite)

  • Rciwws

I’d say 10 bucks. A psOne game is just that. A rare disk can justify a high price, but if its digital then its unlimited and should be sold at a similar discount price to the other psOne titles.

  • Robert

My god!! I will pay $60 just because it will be playable on the new PSP Go!!

  • al

    i bid my left nut

  • Aoshi00

Still have the PS1 original like many and can play it on my PS3, $15 would be too much for an old game w/ no upgrade, but since they’re pricing based on popularity, regular games for $5, Castlevania Symphony of the Night for $10.. this would probably be $15.. The most I would pay is $10 to play it on the PSP.

I don’t think I’d ever have time to play FF7 again. It still irks me that I lent my original label FF7 out to somebody roughly ten years ago, and forgot who it was when I realized I didn’t have it any more.

  • CidSaijin

haha that seems to have happened to EVERYONE (esp my friends who are huge fans of the game)…friends don’t let friends borrow their black label FFVII’s! remember that next time ;)

and i would GLADLY play this an 8th time through (and probably will) but i won’t pay a cent for the digital download cuz i have the original game so no point

  • RPGpro

I will be buying it (providing it is actually released) since I lent my original ps1 version to a “friend” and I’ve never seen him since @_@ in case anyone is interested here is a link to the game’s official jap site:

I bought it for USD10 not bad for the 1.32GB game that it is.
