These Tales of Vesperia Screens Show A Lot Of Flynn

Yuri’s long time friend Flynn Scifo plays a lead role in Tales of Vesperia. In the PlayStation 3 version you can actually control him for the entire game. Flynn acts as an ally and is involved in new story scenes linked to the prequel film Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike.

Look out it’s the Sword Dancer!

Flynn is playable the entire game? Sounds like the PS3 additions are substantial. I really, really hope this gets released outside of Japan. ToV is the best JRPG on the 360 right now, great game.

look it’s GUY from Tales of the Abyss!

    (I had to do it)

    • Masengan

Haha, they do look a bit similar.

My initial impression was Ky Kiske from GG (same colors too!)

I hope E3 will announce this game for the PS3…

Should be only a matter of time like Eternal Sonata.

I’m just going to import this for PS3 if they’re not including the Jpn track, since I alrdy have the 360 ver w/ Eng only. Can’t believe they’re always putting in these extras to make me double dip, chances are I would get Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 again for Ayame..

  • Hello Hello

It makes a lot of sense that they’d be showing off the new content. There’s not much point in just rehashing all of their 360 media releases with the PS3 logo.

Yes there is. It’s called having a bigger audience and not screwing the original buyers. Well, it’s all perspective for the latter.

  • Fauxnel

    Raven learns ELEMENTAL MASTER?!!?!?

All of these extra skills are more incentive for me to get a PS3.

  • Man, I hope this is announced at E3 for North America…

Buh. What are they doing to this game? First they add a freaking *kid pirate* character probably even more annoying and pointless than Chat, now they’re undermining the whole Flynn/Yuri dynamic? I’m all for making Flynn playable after the adephagos shows up, but Flynn being in the party will not only ruin the scenes with their lawful good/chaotic good debates, it will force them to completely change the character.

What else are they going to change? Does Ragou shoot first now?

  • Kashi

When the announced it for the PS3 initially, I knew I had to buy it since I only borrowed the game (and a 360) from a friend just to play it.

With all these bonuses, I can’t wait! However Flynn wasn’t exactly one of my favourite characters (a bit idealistic) though I’m interested how they’re going to incorporate him in the storyline. If they get rid of the whole “duality” between the gang and his knights, the game loses a bit of the controversy it attempted to show.

I hope I get to punch Sodia this time around though.

Looks like the hell knight not the sword dancer.
