Hori Making Xbox 360 Twin Stick Controller For Virtual On

By Spencer . June 5, 2009 . 8:46am

Xbox 360 owners will be able to get an arcade style twin stick controller for Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram. Sega and Hori are working together to release the product in the middle of November for 30,000 yen ($300!). Yes, you read that right the sticks will cost more than an Xbox 360 console.

Sega will take pre-orders for the accessory then start producing the sticks after they reach a certain quota. Details about the pre-order process will be announced on June 13 at an online Live Park event.

Please note that the sticks may not be easy to get overseas. The pre-order program has only been mentioned in Japan at this time.

    I think it sold well in Japan if they are going to make all this effort and to make people wait until November!

  • jarrodand

    So awesome but so expensive! :(

  • EdgeKun

    300$ ??? If i recall correctly, weren’t the Saturn and Dreamcast sticks more about 100ish when they were released?

    Either way, I may very well have to pass on this one. 300 is just so damn much. ;_;

    I realize that these sticks will be made in smaller numbers and are very niche thus the higher cost than the originals but I STILL don’t care.

    My butthole hurts just thinking about that price. Man I could get a new 360 (and hope it don’t break again) for less than that.

    $300 to play a $15 game? Something about that just doesn’t sit right with me.

  • So this is made for the greatest japanese fanboys ? I am very disapointed for the price, my dream to get it have just gone away just after it came.

  • So this is made only for the bigest fans … very disapointed, for seconds I believed I can have the oportunity to play VOOT with sticks (btw, I still don’t find any french players !)
