I don't actually remember the Wii Monkey Ball music, but I liked the music in the GC games. And the GC games had MUCH better gameplay, fewer gimmicks and more interesting levels.

A game like SMB doesn't only require fun control, but PRECISE control. That was the biggest problem I had with Banana Blitz, among other things. BB brought a lot of fun new ideas to the series, but at the same time it screwed up some of the greatest things the previous games had. In my opinion, the DS game had far better controls than the Wii game. In the DS version you could get an easier feel of where the center of balance was compared to the Wii version, which is crucial in being able to enjoy SMB. A lot of times I failed in Banana Blitz felt like it was the control's fault and not my fault. If they could make Banana Blitz again and just make the Multiplayer mode like SMB2's and make the controls so that you hold the remote NES style and tilt it to move like that, it'd be a nearly a total redemption for the series for me. As far balance board controls, I think it'd bring up the same problem of not being able to feel where the center point is when you need to stop the ball quickly at the edge of a small moving platform. Like I said, it should be a crucial element to consider when working out the controls.

Which was outsourced to NoisyCloak, I think that's their name.

Banana Blitz had an awesome soundtrack, sounds like a fitting match for a Sonic game even!

The premise would be very nice, but classic Monkey Ball gameplay is what would hook me to the game. There was just something instant and classic about the original two Monkey Ball games on the Gamecube.

Uh oh--if this comes to fruition, it sounds like an invitation to keep going with that terrible jump mechanic.
