Shin Megami Tensei: Persona Schools PSP In September

By Spencer . June 11, 2009 . 1:50pm

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona and its true to the source material localization is scheduled for release on September 22. Every launch copy comes bundled with a two disc soundtrack, the same pre-order bonus Atlus gave out in Japan.

The PSP version uses the original character names, graphics, and includes the optional Snow Queen quest. Yes, this is almost like the version Japan got in April. Atlus USA added something extra, which we’ll post tomorrow in our Shin Megami Tensei: Persona interview. Until then, enjoy the first English screens.

  • Geosaferi

Almost? What’s different? Now I’m worried.

    • It’s not a bad thing. I’m pretty sure people will be happy about it since it’s an addition!

      • KCdash

Is it…addition of voices in the new fmv’s? actually I’ll put all my chips in that and bet that it is, haha

  • Ereek

Just going out on a limb here and thinking maybe they added an option for the original music? I know a good amount of people were complaining about the on the Atlus forums. It’s probably not likely, but I, too, am interested in what they’re adding.

    • That’s a really good guess. But I was wondering, so is this going to be a DVD sized-box now?

  • EvilAkito

Wow, it seems the town navigation segments have undergone some tremendous improvement.

this game will be at the top of my list with steambot chronicles battle tournament for the psp since i was a fan of the first one.

  • M’iau M’iaut

And with this announcement, Atlus still does not have an Xmas window game. Maybe we’ll see some surprise at TGS or I’ll just log in here some morning to ready god news from spence.

    • Zuga

I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for Growlanser PSP.

      • Ereek

Me too. I’d really like for Atlus to bring that over.

  • QBasic

I’m fairly certain the addition are voices in cutscenes…since that seems to be the most requested feature on not just Atlus forums….but, well….pretty much everywhere else? =/

  • Chow

    Yay, original “Mark” XD

  • ryne11

    I wish I had a PSP

  • Do… want! I am glad it comes out before the PSP Go does so it will still be UMD based. Eff that PSP Go noise. Eff it, I say.

    • piry
