The quirky number matching puzzle game Qruton is going international. Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong announced Qruton will come out on PSN this week under the name Numblast.

Whether you know it as Qruton or Numblast it’s a difficult game to explain in screenshots. Check out this video. It explains everything except why the pink monkey exists. Sony trademarked Numblast in Europe and North America which means a Western release is likely. Perhaps, Numblast will be one of this week’s games. Like Echochrome, Numblast is PlayStation 3 and PSP compatible.

  • I saw a trailer for this on the (EU) PSN. It looked interesting but what struck me as a susprise was that it had British voice acting! The other games that come to mind featuring that are Klonoa Beach Volleyball and Dragon Quest VIII…

Edit: I uploaded the trailer if anyone wants to see it:

    • Thanks for the upload! I didn’t know this went up in Europe. :)

Great news, I saw this on the Jpn PSN and was wondering if the game would be released outside of Jpn. I like the English trailer, “Sempai is a monkey”, lol. I like the character animation and dialog, very quirky, makes a puzzle game more fun like Puzzle Fighter.

    • Yeah that was pretty funny! I’m surprised Sony localized this with voice acting too. They’re backing Numblast more than some of their other first party games.

  • None

Puzzle ds Harvest Moon DS? don’t yeah… :P Harvest Moon PSP Sony’s new okay. lol

  • Looks fun. Also nice it’s for the PSP too because I don’t own a PS3 and prefer by puzzle games on handheld. =P
