Mega Man Lands On PSN Game Archives Next Month

By Spencer . July 22, 2009 . 8:39am

imageSo far only contest winners have been able to play Mega Man — the very first one on their PlayStation 3s and PSPs. That’s going to change on August 12.

Capcom will re-release Rockman: Perfect Works, a PsOne era enhanced port of Rockman 1 on PlayStation Network for 600 yen ($6.50). No plans have been announced for other Rockman Perfect Works re-releases, but it’s easy to imagine Capcom uploading Mega Man II-VI in the future.

PlayStation archives fans can download Tall Twins Tower, a puzzle game from Hamster, while waiting for Mega Man. It’s this week’s only PlayStation Archives release.

    yeah thats cool
    but……when megaman 9!!?

    • http://www.siliconera.com Spencer

Mega Man 9 is out on all consoles in North America and Japan, as of a few weeks ago.

  • Saturnus

What about Megaman 8? You stopped at 7.

    • daizyujin

Actually he stopped at 6. Only 1-6 is in the Perfect Collection. The Perfect Collection is a set of six PS1 remakes of the Famicom Rockman games. VII is Super Famicom.

With 8 being Saturn and PS1 of course :D

…And R&B is Super Famicom again.

Anyways, it is safe to say that Capcom isn’t going to be too focused on bringing their classic series over to PSN, even if it does eventually happen.
