Card Hero Brings Wireless Card Battles To DSiWare

Nintendo is sort of re-releasing Kousoku Card Hero, which came out a year and a half ago as a retail DS game. A trimmed version called Card Hero Speed Battle Custom is coming to DSiWare this week for 800 DSiWare points ($8).

The DSiWare adaptation uses the battle system from Kousoku Card Hero and even includes online play. However, it looks like Nintendo stripped the single player mode down to a few CPU battles found in the battle room.

But, who cares about that. Card battle games are designed for humans, not a human and a CPU.

There is a super special bonus for Card Hero fans that purchase Speed Battle Custom (or borrow the game from a friend). If you have Kousoku Card Hero in your DSi and load Card Hero Speed Battle Custom you get 1,000 points to purchase cards from Maruhige’s shop and a rare card.

No word if this is coming to North America, but Nintendo registered a trademark for Card Hero a few months ago.
