I humbly disagree. I'm not quite hardcore, but I'm a relatively heavy KOF player. Yet I find fans such as myself, and especially ones more hardcore than I the ones to be most hurt by this faggotry on SNK's part.

Even in a $5 bargain bin, KOF XII isn't gonna rear it's ugly ass in my humble abode. :<

I believe this KOF title is for the most hardcore KOF fans. If you love the series and can't get enough of the characters, XII is fluid and fun. However, the mode selection and extras make it dull to casual fighting fans.

Blazblue is better, but it's a nice break from the craziness that is BB. Hopefully, KOF XII will be redeemed with DLC. Character DLC.

The game just comes out and there's an 800MB patch that does absolutely nothing. Is debugging an afterthought nowdays? I think it's just because devs can release now and patch later with the new consoles. In the jurassic days of computers, once you burned your code on roms or whatever, it was set in stone and if you wanted to change it you had to cough up lots of cash so people had to debug their code properly. But now? It seems like coders think debugging their games is below them.

I played this a bit yesterday and was heavily disappointed, even more than I was in SFIV. In fact, at this point, I almost regret even opening the game instead of just returning it to get my money back. Really disappointing, but I guess it's back to BB for me…

778 MB, it was available as soon as I got home yesterday… and I can state for a fact that it did NOT fix the lag problem in online play. It's pretty unbearable.
