I read somewhere that Vanilla’s weapon is a fishing rod, and it had me worried. This description sounds more like an actual weapon(kind of reminds me of those ranged tasers). So does anyone know what it actually is?

I think she's just comforting him and the “event” with Hope's mom is from the Final Fantasy XIII trial version.

Lightning, Cloud, Snow and so forth sound silly to us, but English text (believe it or not!) is kind of cool in Japan. I guess it's sort of like how some people have tattoos with characters here.

Why is it when Vanilla is hugging him he has brown hair, yet in the other screens he has white hair? Is he already a 'Cie Corpse' or whatever?

Also, this might just be me, but I'm really having trouble trying to grasp what the goddamn story is about. I just don't get it, what are these people trying to achieve exactly?

Oh and FFXIII takes the cake for crummiest character names: Vanilla, Lightning, Snow... 'HEY DICTIONARY, WHICH WORD-IMEANNAMELOL- SHOULD WE CHOOSE NEXT?'

And then they go ahead and give a boy a girl's name. :

At least he isn't named after some other weather condition. But… Hope? Really? I always figured that was a more feminine name. But they already used the totally vague “Fayt” in Star Ocean 3. Why not just name him… uh… “Kuriosity”? Or maybe “Penn Sive”? I hate RPG character names. Sometimes.
