Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord’s instruction manual revealed downloadable items from Final Fantasy IV: The After Years were coming. Here’s what they look like.

You can purchase Rydia’s mystery dress for 200 Wii Points ($2) which allows Mira to cast fire. Porom’s fluffy dress costs the same amount and lets her cast cyclone.

Players can also purchase Kain and Palom, which act like “monsters” and defend Mira’s tower from invading heroes. Kain is a swift physical attacker and Palom acts like a slow tower. Each character costs 200 Wii Points ($2).

All together the Final Fantasy IV: The After Years crossover content costs 800 Wii Points ($8), which is the same price as the base pack for the WiiWare version of The After Years.

    Interesting, but quite expensive.

Oh, and it should be Porom’s fluffy dress, not Palom.

I love this DLC!! Great buy… I guess it’s only because I love FF4 so much. But still, very cool addition. I’d love to see some 2D fighter add-ons as good as this…

Ugh, I’m so done with micro transactions. This gen is all about nickle and diming us on things that should already be in the game. This holds especially true to the wii who barely gives anything to begin with on all ends of the spectrum.

Wait, does this mean she can’t cast Fire unless you buy it?

Well, Mira gets an additional fire spell, if she doesn’t already have a fire spell. The costumes give her some boosts/buffs you wouldn’t ordinarily get in the game.
