Atlus Offers One More Reason Not To Import Demon’s Souls

Look, if you haven’t bought it yet, Atlus really doesn’t want you to import Demon’s Souls. In addition to the “stop importing it” bundle Atlus is throwing in a 70 minute soundtrack CD with every North American copy.

Reserve Demon’s Souls, either the game or the deluxe edition which comes with a strategy guide, and you get a 40 page art book and the soundtrack. A great deal compared to what Asia got as a bonus, which was nothing.

The only downside about the North American version is you won’t be able to play with anyone that owns the Asia/English release. Atlus and Sony are preparing brand new, bloodstain-less servers for North America.

Wow, that’s a lot of stuff. Reminds me of all the crazy crap Working Designs packed with their games like that pendant in Lunar 2. No wonder it was so darn heavy.

Nowadays, I just wait for the games to come down in price. You save lots of money and it’s just so much easier to sell if you happen to not like the game.

Games drop in price so fast these days. It’s incredible to see Street Fighter IV, a hot title, go from $60 to $20 in less than half a year.

And yet, here I am up in Canada, and it is still high priced… )’:

        I don’t get Canada sometimes.

This is actually one game that I’ll TOTALLY be preordering! I practically need this game, even though I don’t quite have the hardware to run it yet. However, I’ll build up a nice library before I get the PS3 and then there’ll be no waiting period! :D

Now, the comparison with WD’s stuff is pretty accurate, and I think it is good that Atlus is making moves like these. What makes it better is that they’re not going to make decisions akin to Working Designs, and thus will come out above, rather than go under.

Just speculation though, what do I know, y’know?

Nah, it’s just following supply and demand, retailers carry more stock for games they think will be popular, as a result the big name games generally come down in price a lot quicker than the “rarer” games.

Look at Disgaea on PSP, it’s still selling at full price despite being a PS2 port and released 2-3 years ago.

I can’t wait for this game!!!!

Well it looks like I’ll be importing from the US then!

      USA! USA! USA!

At least, with the new servers, new players won’t have to deal immediately with Black Phantoms. Man, I hate them. Always trying to ruin my world tendency.

Already own the Japanese version but will definitely get the Deluxe Edition too. Good job, Atlus, keep it up.

Geez, I almost feel bad for importing the game, almost….

  • Pesmerga00

I love Atlus. Great extras, a sense of humor, and they actually seem to care about, and listen to their fans.

This BETTER come to Europe. I’ll buy it even though I don’t have a PS3.
