Kimura-San, You Just Said “Super Little King’s Story”

image Did you take over unite the world with King Corobo yet? There may be more Little King’s Story coming in the future.

“We are planning to make a sequel to Little King’s Story, like Super Little King’s Story, but we’re still in the process idea phase,” Yoshiro Kimura, Producer of Little King’s Story told Siliconera.

“Right now, we’re trying to get funding and trying to find new partners meaning that Little King’s Story wasn’t developed by one development company, it was developed by different people.” Cing, the studio behind Hotel Dusk, Town Factory, and Marvelous collaborated to make Little King’s Story.

You know what would help Kimura get funding for Super Little King’s Story? Buying Little King’s Story. While the game is utterly charming and a core game with family friendly characters on the Wii it hasn’t sparked nearly as much interest as it should.

Bring it to PS3 (read "HD") and I'll buy one.

cmon, don't be an ass, the game deserves to be bought and doesn't deserve those comments.

Developing it for the PS3 would be way more expensive than doing so for the Wii, and the wii has a broader userbase to boot. Not to mention they have the engine written for it at place, they should focus on that, because... you know... they aren't swimming in money.

You should buy the first one, really, leave the "HD" at the door and have fun playing instead of drooling with the pixel count.

I'm with you man, I support little developers with everything I can, honest. It's just that SD-consoles don't look too good on my big shiny Bravia. So I'm sort of stuck with HD-consoles.

    I see. :(

Plasma TV's all the way, I say. (still counting my bucks to buy one, though)

If I had a Wii, I'd be all over this. It looks like such a fun game, too.

If only people at Vanpool, Punchline, and Skip had worked together before...

    DO IT, KIMURA.

    I want Captain Rainbow :(
  • Captain Rainbow wouldn't make sense anyway. Most of the characters are characters from other Nintendo games that were never localized. It's like getting MGS2 or 4 and not MGS1.
  • MadMirko
Well "Big King's Story" might run them into copyright issues, "Little Kaiser's Story" just won't roll off the tongue... what's a man to do?
  • Little Emperor's Tale
  • MadMirko
I was half joking, of course. But I guess his intent was to name an enhancement of the base idea, not a continuation of the story.

While the characters are family-friendly, the complexity of the gameplay ensures that it is anything but.

(It is, however, most certainly a core gamer-fest but today's core gamers are, typically, more interested in shooting people in the face and, sadly for them, LKS doesn't offer such 'thrills'.)
