But the core FF series is well known for constantly evolving and pushing the genre into new and different things. XIII is exactly what it should be. This is meant to be something of an homage to the “old school” feel of the series which would have been too far of a step backwards to call XIII or as a number of the core series.

4 Warriors of Light feels more like Final Fantasy than any of the XIII games. They should rename it Final Fantasy XIII and make the XIII games the Gaidens.

Man, DS is going to be loaded next year. SaGa2, Blood of Bahamut, FF Gaiden, DQIX… and that's just Square Enix!

Reminds me of 7th Dragon mixed with FF3/4 DS. I'm really liking the style…

Do you think they will scrap ever doing a FF5 remake how they did 3 and 4? It seems that they are going in that direction. I was hoping for a FF5 DS though!
