Psikyo Defunct, But Their Game Library Lives On

Psikyo Defunct, But Their Game Library Lives On Strikers 1945 Plus arrived on PlayStation Network a few days ago, but Psikyo has been out of business for years. How did the port come into existence?

Windysoft, the Korean company behind the PC MMO Infinity Online, holds the rights to Psikyo’s entire library. Well, except for oddities like Cannon Spike, which stars Capcom characters. They funded the port which PM Studios brought to North America.

Good to see Psikyo’s work hasn’t fallen off the face of the Earth like Telenet’s games.

Considering the types of games Telenet was pushing out in their waning years, that isn't really an altogether bad thing.

Cool, hope more shoot 'em ups would turn up on PSN/XBLA in the near future. Better than digging out the Saturn.
