Would I be foolish in thinking that if the Japanese Indie Games can be published here in America, that the Japanese On Demand games could be as well? Hell, as much as I would want it translated, the Indie Games are not, so just release it all! It's just digital data after all…..

I would so pay $42 for both Idolmaster games.

Play-asia's good, but shipping's hefty for a heavy system like $50. I recently got my black Wii from NCSX and it got shipped to me in one day for $10 UPS ground.

I totally hear you.. the PS3/360 bundles became cheaper and come w/ more accessories, could've saved quite a few bucks if I waited a little. Both DS/PSP went thru how many updates now..

For PS2 my timing was good though, been wanting to get a Jpn one and didn't get one till the Slim was out..

You know I actually hesitated importing a 2nd Wii, I hope they don't screw me by announcing a "Wii HD" w/ slight modification a couple of months from now.

I trust Play-Asia the most for this type of thing (my first actual system outside the States). NCSX has a good selection – just a matter of getting them while they're available.
I swear, though, I'm always spot on when getting game systems at the right time (price, more great games available, better hardware), but the 360 and PS3 and toying with my @ss! I'm ready to get them, but there's always an hardware/design update, or bundle, or *something* that makes me think not twice, but trice! There's always a “but, wait – THERE'S MORE!”.

For me I had a Jpn 360 at first, and I had to worry if this game or that game was region free or not (most US games were, but not all). And now I got both so I don't need to worry. So if one can afford it, get both systems and screw the whole region lock thing..

Just curious, where do you plan on ordering the Jpn system from? You probably know this, the trick to play games on both systems using the same gamertag easily = memory card. I didn't find that out until after retrieving the tags back and forth several times :(

So would these imports on demand be locked based on your system's region or where you're connecting from? If it's based on the system, then that's no problem for me.

You know one funny thing happened to me. I bought Bionic Commando Rearmed (Master D) w/ my Jpn acct. just because I had some MS points to spare. I was able to play the game w/ my US account before and even got the first achievement, now it's locked and can't be played unless I signed in w/ my Jpn account. I thought it was kind of stupid they did that, since now I can't continue to play the game and add gamerscore to my main US acct.
