Sega Covertly Creating A New RPG

By Spencer . August 6, 2009 . 7:22am

imageOh look, another teaser site from Sega. This one shows grayed out character with a giant spear and it won’t be open until August 20.

The other clues we have are a spinning wheel and techno style lines that scroll back and forth. As a twenty sided dice roll guess I’m banking on Phantasy Star Portable 2. Technically, Sega hasn’t announced it yet and a retail leak says its slated for release this winter.

Speculate away!

According to 2ch it’s Shining Force Gear for Wii from Neverland, the sequel to Neo and EXA:

Interesting, as it was trademarked too late last year.
Though people complained about the previous ones so I wonder what will happen if true..

I never got a chance to play the action SF games. I know many people didn’t like them, but were they at least decent?

I heard they were indeed decent. Just most of the hate is from fans not liking the direction it took.

It should be worth playing if the price dropped by now. I haven’t played any but thinking of EXA myself.

God, I hope so. Been waiting forever for it to finally show, and I loved the PS2 dungeon crawls.

Hopefully SOA bring both Feather and Gear stateside next year. I wouldn’t say no to a 360/PS3 Cross port either.

to me looks like a monster hunter homage =.= ( phantasy star zero 2?)

I’d like to see Sonic Team do Phantasy Star 00 for Wii. It’d make sense to follow up what MH3′s started…

At least its not a count down clock…

    I want skies of arcadia 2 :(

It’s obviously another Shining Force game.
