Tetris Finally Dropping On PSP

By Spencer . August 7, 2009 . 8:33am

imageSurprisingly, there isn’t an official version of Tetris for the PSP. That’s about to change thanks to Electronic Arts.

A rating for a PSP Tetris game, simply called Tetris, popped up on Germany’s USK with Electronic Arts as the publisher. There aren’t any other versions of Tetris from Electronic Arts in the database so this could be a PSP exclusive.

Perhaps, Tetris will be a future PlayStation Network title, but what can Electronic Arts add to the game to make a PSP version standout?

How could they make it stand out? Grant Tetsuya Mizuguchi’s wish and finally put Q? Entertainment at the wheel, of course! I’m glad we got Lumines out of his getting denied, but now I’m all the more curious as to what his team could do with the source material of the genre.

    • Yes please. A music fueled Tetris from Mizuguchi would be a day 1 purchase for me.

You know your systems a failure when it doesn’t have some port of tetris on it…..
    I kid I kid…but seriously.

  • You’d think there would already be a PSP version of Tetris by now.

About time. Lumines is fun for a while, but Tetris much better. And frankly, every so often while playing Lumines, I’ll freak out, thinking I’m playing tetris and look for a long piece. Probably why I’m terrible at Lumines.

  • Finally! It’s just wrong to have a platform without an official Tetris. Easily the best news this year. Yay!!
