This Week In Imports: Summertime SlumpIt’s a slow week around the world unless you’re a fan of Madden or Fullmetal Alchemist.

 

Square Enix’s “adventure” style Fullmetal Alchemist game Prince of Dawn goes against a collection of PSP ported visual novels and the DS version of Bolt.

 

Madden NFL 10 takes center stage in the West and it’s main competitors are a Pokemon meets dinosaurs collect-a-thon and an expanded port of Phantom Brave.

    Will definitely be interested to see how Madden sells this year. Just seems that the buzz for that one is now pretty much gone with Madden's retirement, and NCAA was kinda quiet this year too.

    I know next week is another quiet one, but the following week (24-25) almost plays as an early holiday preview with Batman, Dissidia, Metroid, Layton, and Mana Khemia 2, plus oddball stuff like Cursed Mountain and the HM: Magical Melody port.

    I don't mind the slow sluge this week as my DS/PSP backlog is quite extensive and gives me time to play catch up. Actually, it isn't till the fall when I start seeing some of really exciting games.
