These People Really Enjoy Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny

By Spencer . August 11, 2009 . 11:37am

Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is coming out in a few weeks and Namco Bandai is promoting their portable fighter with the happiest group of Soulcalibur fans, perhaps ever.

Here’s the ad Namco Bandai created for Japan.

Have you ever felt that joyful when playing a fighting game? On a more serious note, Namco Bandai also released another trailer. The footage of Kratos is old, but other parts like character customization and the cutesy art for Gauntlet mode are new. Watch it and see if you figure out what’s making the group of fighting fans *so* happy.

It’s because they’ll never get laid.

Classic way to be a douchebag in gaming, way to go dude.

    • Serge73

Why in the hell would that make them HAPPY?

      • eliel

Shoot i’d be that happy to play this game on a handheld to!!! IT looks really great i think i’d get more out of it playing it on handheld anyways…,[on a side note] (that Dampierre character seems pretty awesome and kratos)

Gotta admit. This is by far the most pathetic fucking attempt at humor I’ve seen all day.

And believe me, with the anime pedophile news abound all over Anime News Network, today’s been a real doozie when it comes to douchebags and retards trying to be witty.

Not putting Soulcalibur into arcades is the reason why its not popular in Japan.

I dunno, I was pretty psyched the first time I popped Gitaroo Man Lives! in.

I wish this kind of thing was real. “Oh man, those guys are always playing that PSP game in that same spot every day for hours, being illogically happy. I want to BE them.” Then you get the game and then you have four illogically happy best friends who are also male models who love you when you beat them. Ah, to dream.

  • QBasic

Man, if only life and…economics were as simple as Soul Calibur…then I’d be just as happy.

As to answer your question…I’m sure Raoul Duke could think up of a few dozen reasons as to why they’re so enthusiastic on the spot. :3

Maybe they are that happy because all the star wars characters are gone? I know after playing SC4 I would be quite pleased knowing they were gone.
