Classic Kenka Bancho Eye Beaming Onto PSP

Spike is joining in on the PlayStation 2 port bandwagon by adapting Kenka Bancho for PSP.

The four year old game that started the badass series is heading to the PSP on October 29 for a discounted price of 3,990 yen ($42).

At the moment the release is only for Japan. However, Atlus committed to localizing Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble, the third game in the series. If that sells well you can count on Atlus to pick this up and any other Kenka Bancho PSP ports Spike is working on.

If Atlus is even considering this game they probably want to space their Kenka Bancho titles apart, but not too far away from each other. That’s a reason for Atlus to release Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble early and retailers are pointing towards a November release

They should port over Shinku no Ookami instead as that was pretty much the same game but instead of a gang member, you’re a renegade cop.

Did you mean Shinjuku no Ookami? That game was pretty nice, but was there a PSP port? Even Atlus USA wants to bury the PS2 these days, so I don’t see a chance of it porting the original version.

Yeah that game. Why don’t you think there’d be a port? If you told me there would be a port of this game I’d have said you’re crazy since it’s so old, but here it is.
Anyways, I’d like a port of that game because I wanted to know what the story was about and also the gameplay (because I kept dying and getting chased by my own police force :P )
