The last thing we heard was Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep would be in stores “this winter”. Square Enix updated the time frame, which could have been a vague way of saying February 2010, to “2009” as seen in the publicly released trailer on the official website.

And here are a ton of tiny screenshots showing the game’s various worlds. New areas based on Snow White, Cinderella, and Lilo & Stitch are confirmed for the game. The battle system, from when I played Birth By Sleep, takes elements from Kingdom Hearts II and adds elemental transformations. When you end a series of combos with, say a fire spell, Terra can shift into Fire Blazer mode which gives him a new set of attacks.
