Nippon Ichi And Disgaea Coming To An Arcade Near You

Well, not *near* you if you don’t live in Japan, but Nippon Ichi characters like Etna from Disgaea will appear in an arcade game. Idea Factory is working on an arcade game based on Jigsaw World.

Actually, Jigsaw World Arena looks more like an adaptation of Nippon Ichi’s DS game where four players, one of which is a cat that looks like a loaf of bread, race to place jigsaw puzzle pieces. Idea Factory is running the second location test for Jigsaw World Arena at Leisure Land in Akihabara from September 7 to September 13.

That’s right, second location test. Jigsaw World Arena is moving along, but Idea Factory hasn’t released much information about it. I wonder if this game is going to be built for touch screen cabinets, you know the ones virtual mahjong games use.

When I saw the headline, I actually had visions of a proper Disgaea arcade machine. Can you imagine?

If it's anything like Prinny, Can I Really Be the Hero? I most certainly could. Maybe do the whole stat-building RPG element for health and power based on what you pick up and how many things you beat and so forth.

Well sure, but that's not nearly as funny.
