Meet Nippon Ichi’s Absolute Hero

The makers of Disgaea are working on something other than Disgaea. Nippon Ichi is developing a brand new dungeon RPG called  Zettai Hero Kaizou Keikaku (loosely Absolute Hero Modding Project).

Yep, this is the PSP game Nippon Ichi was teasing with the hero donning a drill hat and Prinny parts. Since Zettai Hero Kaizou Keikaku is a Nippon Ichi title its designed with unlimited leveling up in mind. This game generates random dungeons. Players can collect head, leg, expansion, right arm, and left arm gear to customize their hero inside.

Gamers in Japan get to create drill arm prinnies sometime next year. While we’re waiting for a release announcement from NIS America check out more screenshots at Dengeki.

One of the down points of NIS games on current generation: they don't go HD.

  • mooncalf

HD is just a resolution, there are so many things that make a great game. Just on the subject of graphics I reckon art, animation and framerate are far more important than resolution.

*whistles* This actually looks nice, I hope we'll get more information on it soon.

This is the drill that will pierce the heavens, dood!

    Looks neat.

Right. In my opinion NIS games were just made for the PSP. ^_^ They look fantastic!

  • RyuRyuRan

Feels like I've been waiting forever for information on this game x_x Do want!

Looks interesting. Does anyone else feel that after that PSP Go announcement way back when, the PSP has all of a sudden been pumping out decent games? Maybe I just remember the original, in my opinion, drought it had on release and can't associate anything else with it. =)

The PSP has been pumping out good games for years now, but many of them are lesser known titles that don't get a lot of exposure. It does have a few excellent AAA titles, but many of the gems are hidden and even hard to find now.

  • Mr_Qoo

While that's true, and I know I have bought them all (even the barely interesting ones like Fading Shadow), I haven't gotten a chance to play many. I'm glad to know I have a laundry list of great games to play on the PSP sooner or later. I'm still excited to break the seal on (Astonishia Story 2) Crimson Gem Saga and Hammerin' Hero. Thanks for the input!

I haven't had my PSP for long. But when I first got it,.. there weren't many games I wanted! Now my want list is getting longer and longer… but maybe that's because I've been paying more attention now.. =/

I'm glad they kept the blur effect they put on their sprites. ^_^ Always loved that
