Play The Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Demo In English Before Sept. 24

Tecmo will release a Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 demo in North America next week, but you don’t have to wait to play it. You can get the demo right now with a Japanese PlayStation Network account.

Logon to Japan’s PlayStation Store, select the menu option with “PV”, and then pick the icon with Ryu’s face to download the demo. That’s all the Japanese you need to wade through since the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 demo is in English.

Initially, Ryu is the only available character. After you complete Ryu’s stage, which ends with a fight against a giant stone Buddha, you can try out Ayane. The final game includes two more characters, Rachel and Momiji, and comes out in North America on September 29.

I was quite suprised when i started it and had a german menu and english voiceover.

  • Momiiiiiiiijiiiiiiiiii.

Er, *ahem*. I’m looking forward to trying this out when I get home from worky-work.

D/l’ing it.. too bad my PS3’s d/l speed is much slower than my 360 d/l (which always makes me d/l demos on 360 for multiplatform games, takes only several minutes), not sure why… Ayane and Momiji’s outfits are super-hot.

I’m enjoying the demo, but where’s my human decapitation? Other things lose their heads, but people don’t seem to… Weird!
I hope this is just a Japanese release thing, I hate to sound like I have a bloodlust, but it doesn’t seem right playing NG without people going headless,

Just tried it, pretty good. Too bad about the decapitations, but whatever. I don’t like Ayane’s costume though. Why do I have to go around with someone with a butterfly on their back? The NG1 costume would have been better. Also, the… ahem… Sixaxis feature, is fun for a couple seconds, but still useless, and you’ll never touch it again after.

I’ll try to look for a demo on the Marketplace too, so I can compare the two versions.
