Again: Eye of Providence Appearing At Tokyo Game Show Again

Again: Eye of Providence Appearing At Tokyo Game Show Again Like Hotel Dusk? Then Again: Eye of Providence should be up your alley. It’s also a murder mystery game made by Cing.

Tecmo introduced the DS game at Tokyo Game Show last year and scheduled a spring 2009 release for North America. Then the game fell off everyone’s radar (including ours!), but Again is still alive. Koei Temco plan to exhibit Again: Eye of Providence this week at Tokyo Game Show.

The “overseas drama adventure” has been rescheduled for a 2009 launch in Japan. Again: Eye of Providence seems designed for the West and since Tecmo released English screenshots last year we’re counting on a domestic release… eventually.

Nice. They should release more adventure titles. DS has a lot in Japan but they dont come over here except for Hotel Dusk, Another Code R, Time Hollow, Lux-Pain, Flower Sun Rain, etc.
Still waiting for Death Note Kira Game, Great Thief Rosseau, Project Hacker, Nanashi no Game etc

Looks very interesting. Hope you guys cover whatever they show of this at TGS.

The trailer didn't really impress me, but the fact that it's Cing has me excited anyway.

I love the games released by Cing.. even if some of the puzzles are hard to figure out. But I'm not liking the art style here that much, I like the Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory art style more.

Trace Memory, Hotel Dusk, and Another Code R were more than just “Cing games” — they were all written and directed by a single person, Rika Suzuki. As far as I know, she has no involvement in Again: Eye of Providence, so I really have no reason whatsoever to think that this rather awful-looking game will turn out to be any good.

I was going to say the same, those games looked unique because of the pencil sketch drawings (especially Hotel Dusk). So are they actually using live action portraits in-game? Looks rather silly…
