.hack//Link (And 130+ .hack Characters) Arrive On PSP In February

By Spencer . September 24, 2009 . 12:06pm

CyberConnect2 is throwing a .hack reunion on the PSP. It’s called .hack//Link and it’s dated for February 2010.

.hack//Link includes over 130 characters from 23 .hack works. Thirty-three of them can partner with Tokio, the game’s video game loving protagonist. Screenshots show Tokio teaming up with Kite from .hack, Tsukasa from .hack//Sign, and Albireo from .hack//AI Buster for glitzy cross rengeki attacks.

Too bad Bamco is awful and we will probably never get this, much like most of their games. I really wish they would license their titles to other companies or obtain a better team.

Where are you from? All games have been localized in the U.S., aside from .hack//Fragment.

      • cowcow

With Bamco just because that’s happened in the past isn’t a guarantee that it will continue to happen (Hello Tales series). thats how they are.

  • QBasic

.hack is still alive? Well I’ll be…

  • malek86

What kind of game is this supposed to be, anyway?

    • It’s an action RPG with faux MMO elements like the other .hack games. Since this is the final game in the series Namco Bandai is making this a big production.

      • Saturnus

The selection kinda looks like a fighter. I’m glad it follows the same battle style of the other games.

So this is the last one? Wow… When was the last time a long running series was ended? :(

  • biwwy

Sounds like a Dissidia type of game.

Wonder if it follows the manga of the same name?

  • Forgot about this one. So this really is the last in the series? If bamco doesn’t bring this over I’ll be sad.

I like the idea of .hack, but I haven’t liked any of the games much. If this comes here then good, more PSP support, but I’d like Tales of Vs to get released here over anything Namco has to offer right now. The Bandai portion on the other hand? Gundam titles are import friendly so I’m sad they’re not translated, but nice that we can get them.

  • I don’t know exactly what kind of game I’m looking at, but I like it!

Never played a .hack game, though I did watch some of the anime.

  • BK0000

    Should have been called .hack//FANSERVICE.

  • Really? Final installment? That makes me sad… Then again, .hack has come a long way.

But I have to agree. This really does look like a fighter rather than an RPG.
