Play Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Right NowKonami’s Tokyo Game Show demo found its way onto the Internet. You can grab the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker TGS demo from IGN or PSP Demo Center. (Thanks for the tip Brie!!)

 

Update your PSP to firmware 6.00, if necessary. Then, unzip the file and copy “NPJH90063” to your PSP –> GAME folder and enjoy!

 

Since the demo was designed for Tokyo Game Show it’s in Japanese, but here are the controls and a run down of the missions to get you started.

    nahh.. there's MGS freebies once you tried the demo. besides, there's a lots of good games to see on TGS this year beside this one.

    Firmware 6.0 isn't necessary. I'm running 5.50, and it works dandy.

    That said…I love, love, LOOOOOVE this game's control scheme. Seriously ingenious…

    I don't want to spoil the game for myself by playing it pre-launch, but can anyone just tell me if it's good? I can't say I liked Portable Ops, so I suppose give it a comparison in terms of that and the “main” MGS series?

    There's a way around that, I assume you have custom firmware? Well if so you can change this file on your PSP called version.txt look up how to get to it if you don't know how and then replace the content of the file with:

    release:5.55:
    build:3230,0,3,1,0:builder@vsh-build6
    system:52556@release_555,0×05050510:
    vsh6434@release_555,v52629@release_555,2
    0090608:
    target:1:WorldWide

    Then you'll beable to play it on 5.50
