Capcom Teasing Something New For Street Fighter IV

By Spencer . September 28, 2009 . 12:01am

Looks like Capcom isn’t done with Street Fighter IV. A teaser site opened with "new warrior" in the URL and pencil sketches of two characters fighting.

Street Fighter IV just came out in February. Wouldn’t it be a bit early for Street Fighter IV: Hyper HD Edition? Maybe this is some kind of DLC.

The project, whatever it is, will be revealed on September 29, 5:00PM Japan time. Set an alarm or prepare to stay up late for the announcement if you’re in North America.

  • Street Fighter 4 came out in August 2008. Apparently its an arcade game of some kind.

i’m going to be upset if this character has to be buyable DLC.

    • QBasic

Get upset. It’s either that, or a retail disc.

Really… I can’t fathom why you people can’t accept the fact that DLC has proven itself a successful business for companies, and great additions for fans.

Wanting everything for free is absurd, unrealistic, and frankly, quite retarded.

I’m hearing rumors of Super Street Fighter 4 and T Hawk but no confirmation of it other than some fuzzy half blocked pic on a Capcom blog…

    • Chow

In that pic was a definite picture of T. Hawk, and what appeared to be the “SUPER” from SSF2’s logo behind the SF4 logo. Through some forums, I had seen this alleged picture on the German Gamepro site, but they’ve since removed the entry about it, along with their picture.

From the rumors I’ve heard, it’s supposed to be the so-called sequel, sort of like how Second Impact and Third Strike were in terms of story.

Update: Here’s a random imageshack picture I’ve found of the picture (which probably will be taken down)

It’s Capcom, of course you’ll have to pay for it.

    Street fighters 4 ……….WII version

  • I would rather have it be a DLC pack with some new characters than a new full retail release.
