Man, this game teaches you the hardships of life and that everyone dies, or you better sell your families food for more Ox pulling power. Sometimes, Little Jebediah has to succumb to starvation or dysentery/cholera for the good of the wagon. Or that you have to sell tired Oxen for exorbitant amounts of money and barter with another person for a strong Ox at cheaper cost. Yes, this game certainly prepared us 8 year-olds how to start a nice life in the seedy "Underworld of Oregon." I remember this in grade school. When I played it, it was on a 5″ Floppy Disk…and on an AppleII, perhaps? Man, this game teaches you the hardships of life and that everyone dies, or you better sell your families food for more Ox pulling power. Sometimes, Little Jebediah has to succumb to starvation or dysentery/cholera for the good of the wagon. Or that you have to sell tired Oxen for exorbitant amounts of money and barter with another person for a strong Ox at cheaper cost.
