Bayonetta First Climax Ready For Action

By Spencer . October 8, 2009 . 2:28am

Bayonetta First Climax Ready For ActionAs promised, a Bayonetta demo is available on PSN and, if you have a Japanese XBLA gold account, Xbox Live too. Have a gold Canadian account instead of a Japanese one? Sorry, you have to wait a week.

In both cases, you need a Japan region account to download the file.

Most of the text in the PlayStation 3 demo is in Japanese, accompanied by English voice acting. Don’t worry too much, you can blaze through the demo without language issues. Just time your blocks, dodge at the last minute to enter witch time, and you’ll be fine.

Sweet. Gonna get it later today then

Darn, I don't hold two gold accounts for the 360. I only keep my US tag gold. Guess, I'll only be able to check out the PS3 demo. I'm going to put Demon's Souls on hold for a little tonight to try it out, thanks!

Tried it. Maybe it's just the PS3 version, but the picture looked a bit “unstable”. I'll try the 360 demo when it comes out.

Aside from that, the game is pretty good.

This demo is incredible! I am even more hyped for this… What a super-awesome action game. I really enjoyed the overall style of the game, and the sword is a NICE touch I thought! :D

Holy godamned damn! I can't remember the last time I had this much fun playing a tiny demo. So….I guess we can all agree on the fact that DMC4 just totally got boned in over a dozen ways?

yeah same here, no gold for Jpn account since one can't use that to watch Netflix anyway. Guess we'd have to wait a week to try it on 360 for comparison.

Going to give it a spin later tonight, good thing I read this in the morning and started the d/l before going to work :)

Just tried the demo, totally mind blowing. I love the music! I could see this game being quite challenging, so an “easy” mode would definitely help me out of tough spots if I do ever get stuck and is much appreciated. The no. of combos w/ countless weapons would be so crazy.

Can't say I could find any fault w/ this PS3 “port”, usually I can't tell the diff. btwn 360 & PS3 ver anyway, maybe the graphics in the 360 ver would be crisper? And one could even adjust the sensitivity of the camera. I think it comes down to the controller, I would say the Dual shock 3 is probably better to play this type of frantic Devil May Cry-like action games. Still going to d/l on 360 once it's up for silver.

I'm relieved this game plays as well as it looks and should live up to all the hype up until now. Chicks w/ librarian glasses looks rule!

  • QBasic

    Lives up to the hype?

More like, damn well exceeds it… At least that's what I thought.

Totally agreed there! It rocked. I dunno if I was too close to the TV but the game seemed a bit worse as far as graphic resolution than something like DMC4 had. Not that I care because it's amazing but it just didn't look as polished. Maybe the game will look nicer on release. I'm excited to try it on 360 too and I'm pretty sure that's where my purchase will be initially. Then the PS3 version comes at a $10 price tag down the road.
