Ten Minutes Of 3D Dot Game Heroes

From Software drummed up more 3D Dot Game Heroes buzz this past weekend with an event in Yokohama. The developers made a scheduled appearance at Yodobashi Camera and brought a playable build.

Here’s what the game looks like, from the eyes of 4gamer.

Surprisingly, 4gamer also commented on 3D Dot Game Heroes similarity to Zelda in their article with “It’s not a rip-off! It’s a homage!” in the title and listing familiar elements shared between the two titles.

I think I figured out who I was going to try to replicate as soon as I saw there was a character editor. Granted, it's not much of a stretch, and the fact that it's an homage in an homage kind of hurts the brain, but...

Zelda stole its concept from the ZX spectrum classic ATIC-ATAC to begin with so people are in no position to complain.

3D Dot Game Heroes Looks superb, hope asian version includes english subs.
I can hardly wait to make my own chibi Rorona with the editor

May as well wait for someone to pick it up for localization. Methinks this game will get swallowed up by someone fairly quick. It's got an infectious charm.

Also, I suck at making sprites. Hopefully there's a way to trade them so I can outsource my sprite wishes XD

This game looks excellent!
I love that it's an homage to the Zelda games. Maybe it's just me, but the game also makes me think of Dragon Quest.
