Hahaha, that's an amusing story indeed. Yeah, I had the luck of having an older brother, so the year SMS came out I remember that fall/winter time, sneaking into their rooms and playing the heck out of the game when I was about 5! I use to get wrecked so bad by bosses. I break out the controllers every once-in-a-while to play with those little joystick-dpads!

good call! i still live in NY and this remains the go-to game on the SMS emulator. funny story about the SMS - i think we were in kindergarten or first grade when my friend got his SMS. the card games used to have a name label on the back. i don't remember if the carts had this. another friend thought that he was supposed to write the name of the game he wanted to play there, and the game would magically change. on my friend's copy of teddy boy, he wrote "black belt." you can't make this stuff up, man.

You forgot about Gundam Musou, which wasn't called “Gundam Warriors” either. So they may just as well call it “Dynasty Warriors: Fist of the North Star”. Or actually that's even more likely, since the Gundam ones were spin-offs set in fully fictional universes spawned from a popular/classic anime franchise, too. However, since they broke the convention with the Gundam ones, they might as well think off a third way to call Musou games, but I bet marketing idiots will push it into something that makes it very clear even to shelf-shopping “casual gamers” that it is yet another game in the official (koei) “Dynasty Warriors” dynasty.

I would have rather had Capcom use Clover to develop it (Godhand), but we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out. Koei's other new game: Trinity Zill O'll, an action RPG for PS3 isn't looking that bad so maybe they've improved things
