3D R-Type Shooter Coming To PlayStation Home

imageR-Type Final what? Irem is sort of returning to their roots with a R-Type shooter for PlayStation Home.

 

The mini game, R-Type: Flash of the Void, will be in Irem’s PlayStation home lounge next month. Famitsu has more pictures of the game, which is played with a behind the ship camera. Not quite the R-Type revival I was hoping for, but hey it’s free to play.



  • Free? Cool. Not a fan of R-Type, actually, but this is pretty neat. Though I wonder about the camera.

    ... Ok, gimme 2D R-TYPE, and i wont complain. :D
  • If Irem was going to end the series with FINAL, they should have done so. Either make a new 2D shooter in the R-Type setting, or let it go.
  • when will irem add R-TYPE on to ps3?? and good LORD!! when will gradius 6 come as well??

    you can buy r-type 1 & 2 as a ps1 classic and you can grab r-type delta from the same section. plenty of r-type to be found on my ps3.

    with those 2 games they should be in HD graphics in 3D or 2D

    Love Irem. I cherish my copy of Metal Storm on the NES. Now if I can just get a import copy of Holy Diver for Famicom...
  • I'd be happy with an R-Type Final HD Remix with skinnable ships.
