Little Red Riding Hood’s Zombie BBQ Ported To DSiWare

image EnjoyUp’s quirky run and gun game, Little Red Riding Hood’s Zombie BBQ, is now available as a DSiWare download in Europe. Destineer published it here as a discount game by pricing it under $20. On DSiWare, Little Red Riding Hood’s Zombie BBQ is even cheaper at 800 DSiWare Points ($8).  Although, it’s unclear if the DSiWare release is a full game or a trimmed down port. No word on a US release, but it’s not like Destineer has anything to localize!

Speaking of DSiWare, Digidrive is coming out next week in Japan. Q Games, the makers of Star Fox Command, created Digidrive as the final Bit Generations game for the GBA. In the game you’re like a traffic cop, directing colored arrows into groups which creates fuel to mover a wheel like core from being crushed. The 500 point DSiWare version adds touch screen controls and download play.

I always meant to buy this, but now I'm DS-less. If it's the full game, I might pick up a DSi.

It's 122 blocks, and with that one of the largest DSiWare releases. According to the DSiWare summary there are 21 levels and 10 bosses in the game, which seems to be the same number as the retail release had.

Pretty good value, and I loled when Gretel apeared. :)

I have a retail copy of the game (two actually), but I'd buy it again, were it released in the US.
  • It's a solid vertical shooter and very challenging, so I recommend it if that's your thing.
For me, this was another one of those cases where reviews trashed it when it first came out so I put it off for the longest time, which I regret since it really is a fun game.
The Japanese DSiware has another excellent shmup called "G.G. Wonderland" by Genterprise. For 200 points it's a steal.

If you loved Little Red Riding Hood’s Zombie BBQ, then there is a game coming to the Wii that is *very* similar called "Zombie Panic in Wonderland". Look for a trailer, I think it's going to be a Wiiware game. It's by Akaoni Studio, so not by the same people behind Zombie BBQ, although they are also located in Spain. Hmm...
